EDUCATION:
A secondary school diploma; and completion of an acceptable training program in electronics technology or the employer-approved alternative.
The employer-approved alternative is as follows:
An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with the operation, installation and maintenance of electronic security systems.
- Experience in the administration and configuration of network and IT systems.
- Experience in drafting business cases for the procurement of security equipment and projects.
- Experience in providing advice and guidance to management on electronic security systems issues.
Bilingual - Imperative (CBC/CBC)

KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of the Policy on Government Security and its related Directives and Standards.
- Knowledge of electronic security systems and IT networks, equipment and peripherals.
- Knowledge of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol TCP/IP networking protocol.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with specific security systems such as LENEL, DSC, AVIGILON or KEEP
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Willing and able to work overtime upon short notice.
- Willing to occasionally travel across Canada.
