ABOUT PHAC & OUR WORK
We are looking to staff in our Data Management, Innovation and Analytics Directorate, the Hub. This is a new unit that was launched on September 5, 2018 within the Corporate Data and Surveillance Branch at PHAC.
The Hub’s vision is to ensure that health professionals, policy practitioners and the public have access to timely and high-quality public health data that can be used to inform decision-making and action. It also seeks to ensure that public health data is cutting-edge, by using data visualisations, leveraging big data, and harnessing technology like artificial intelligence.
To realize these objectives, the Hub plans to pursue a series of actions, in partnership with other government departments, provincial and territorial jurisdictions, external organizations and academia to enhance accessibility of public health data. Building on this, the Hub plans to supplement the data with innovative pairings, such as artificial intelligence, syndromic surveillance, behavioural economics, nudge theory, multi-sectoral partnerships, and more!
Our mission is to set a new path forward in how we approach public health data and how we use it to enhance the lives of Canadians.
We are building a team to deliver this vision. Join us!
ABOUT TBS & OUR WORK

Ideally you have experience and enjoy working in a team environment with strong analytical skills and enjoy working with complex datasets.
