We’re looking for a digital communications expert to join our communications team and help chart the course for an engaging and informative social media presence.

You will be joining a dynamic team of dedicated, hard-working communicators who love their work.

You will work with PacifiCan staff, industry leaders, community groups and passionate entrepreneurs eager to tell their stories and promote their success.

And you will have an opportunity to use your expertise in social media to promote programs, services and assistance to business delivered by PacifiCan.

Please note: as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are working remotely. If you are appointed to a position, PacifiCan will provide tools and/or equipment to support remote work. In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education:
• A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with a specialization in Communications, Marketing or Public Relations, OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
• Experience in creating digital communication plans and content strategies.
• Experience in developing a variety of digital communications materials, such as social media posts and articles, web content, video scripts and infographics.
• Experience managing social media channels, including using content scheduling software.
• Experience in social media analysis and reporting.

• Ability to create digital communication plans and content strategies under tight timelines.
• Ability to create digital communications materials under tight timelines.
• Ability to analyze social media content performance.
• Ability to provide digital communications advice to management.

Asset Qualifications:
• Experience using graphic design programs such as Canva and Adobe.
• Experience in search engine optimization.

Operational Requirements:
• Willing and able to travel.
• Willing and able to work overtime, often on short notice, including occasional weekends.
