The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) is located at 30 Victoria Street, in the heart of downtown Gatineau. Our location is easily accessible and is located near Place du Portage and just a few kilometers away from downtown Ottawa.
The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (OCEO) is a place of work where work-life balance and mental health are very important for all its employees. The OCEO has policies allowing for flexible work arrangements, including: flexible hours; telework; compressed work weeks, etc.
This is an anticipatory staffing process, the intention is to staff for upcoming vacancies positions.
A pool of fully or partially qualified candidates may be established to staff positions at the same group and level or equivalent within Elections Canada with various linguistics profiles: Bilingual imperative - BBB/BBB, English or French Essential on a temporary or permanent basis.

EDUCATION:
Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience in providing *administrative support services or **operational support services.
DEFINITION:
*Administrative support services is defined as but not limited to: managing agendas, scheduling and organizing meetings/teleconferences, preparing and collating meeting file folders and background materials, procuring office equipment and supplies, maintaining a filing system, and other related office duties.
**Operational support services are defined as but not limited to: performing operational tasks such as
monitoring/ escalating problems when required, providing information, interpreting & analyzing data, providing simple recommendations on administrative procedures, etc.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in data entry and data verification (quality assurance).
Experience using Adobe Pro or other PDF software to manipulate combine, create and edit documents.
Experience using software to record and track documents.
Experience in records management.
Experience using Microsoft Excel for tracking and reporting.
ORGANIZATIONAL NEEDS:

Willingness and ability to work in-person at the office of 30 Victoria Street in Gatineau a few days a week.
Willingness and ability to work overtime on short notice.
