We are currently looking for dynamic and motivated individuals to fill the position of Case Review Officer (AS-02) in the Ontario/Nunavut Region office in Kingston, Ontario. This position plays a key role in ensuring that all available, relevant information is on file for decision-makers and that timeframes and other requirements set out in law and policy are met with respect to Parole Board decisions. This position requires strong oral and communication skills to prepare correspondence, respond to telephone inquiries and provide advice and guidance to decision-makers. Case Review Officers spend the majority of their time reading offender files to ensure accuracy and completeness.

EDUCATION
A secondary school diploma.
EXPERIENCE
E1: Experience in providing advice and guidance to management or clients on the interpretation and analysis of a legislation, regulation or a policy framework.
E2: Experience in gathering and analyzing information.
E3: Experience in the quality control of documents, ensuring correctness and completeness as per policies and other formal requirements.

Assets Qualifications
Education (asset)
AE1: Diploma or degree from a recognized postsecondary institution with an acceptable specialization in criminology, psychology or in a field relevant to the position.
Experience (asset)
AEX1: Experience using the Offender Management System or the Integrated Decision System.
AEX2: Experience working in the criminal justice system.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires daily exposure to disturbing and offensive information; consequently, the appointed person must be capable of performing the duties in an objective manner when exposed to such information.
