Intent of the process

This process will initially be used to staff positions within the Information Management Services Directorate in Vancouver (BC), Edmonton (AB), Regina (SK), Winnipeg (MB), Toronto (ON), National Capital Region, Ottawa and Kanata (ON), Montreal (QC), Longueuil (QC) and Halifax (NS). In addition, this process may be used for various: tenures (acting appointments, assignment, deployment, indeterminate, specified period, secondment), language requirements, locations, security requirements and conditions of employment within Health Canada across Canada. As a result of the potential and possible use of the selection process and subsequent pool by hiring managers, we encourage all employees seeking this type of opportunity to apply.

Education:
Successful completion of secondary school in accordance with provincial/territorial standards OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
• Experience providing client services
• *Recent and significant experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Experience in the implementation of Information Management (IM) procedures.
• Experience with an Electronic Document Management System or corporate repositories such as GCdocs, Livelink Records Server (LRS), RDIMS, or similar programs.
• Experience managing paper and electronic records throughout their information lifecycle
• Experience assessing the IM needs of clients.

* Recent significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of the experience normally associated with having performed the specified activities as part of the main duties of a position, for approximately two (2) years within the previous five (5) years

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
• Successful completion of Post secondary education from a recognized post-secondary institution relevant to the position (ex. Certification in the field of Information Management)
• Education relating to programs in Information Management.

Experience:
• Experience in providing advice and guidance to clients on Information Management
• Experience providing recommendations to Management
• Experience using Microsoft 365 (Sharepoint, Teams, and Channels).
• Experience delivering presentations, training or coaching sessions.
• Experience using Microsoft Powerpoint

Ability to supervise, set priorities for others and assign work.

Degree equivalency
