As the Director of Business Transformation, you will provide expert advice and analysis to decision-makers on the nature and extent of optimal innovative IM/IT solutions integral to the delivery of the scientific and regulatory programs. You will identify, lead, and manage solutions for capturing and maintaining business, science and regulatory data, and related business intelligence solutions, leveraging your strong change management skills and knowledge of IT project management to advance initiatives across the branch.
Key initiatives you would be involved in:
You will manage a team who provide IT solutions and IT project planning for a diverse range of scientific business needs, such as the Chemicals Management Plan, the Radiation Protection teams, and the Workplace Hazardous Products Program.
You will provide strategic advice and guidance to the Director General regarding IM/IT opportunities and implementation of the data strategy.

Education:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics including mathematics, informatics, data science, etc.
Note: Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience:
EE1. Significant* experience writing briefing or decision-making documents for senior executives** (such as briefing notes, reports, decks, etc.)
EE2. Significant* experience providing strategic analysis or recommendations on complex issues to senior executives**.
EE3. Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with a variety of partners or stakeholders such as federal departments or agencies, other levels of government, private sector, non-governmental or international organizations.
EE4. Significant* experience leading large and complex IM or IT projects. (Excludes supervision)
EE5. Significant* experience in managing a multi-dimensional service function. (Excludes supervision)
EE6. Experience in reviewing and assessing IM or IT services to identify opportunities for efficiencies.
EE7. Significant* experience in the management of policy development, analysis, and coordination. (Excludes supervision)
*Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of complex related activities for a period of approximately three (3) years.
**Senior Executives is defined as Director General level within the federal government or as senior manager within the private sector.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
AE1. Experience in leading international regulatory standardization bodies.
AE2. Experience chairing or serving on committees or working groups.
AE3 Experience developing and implementing an IM or IT strategy.
AE4 Experience in working on modern IM or IT initiatives.
AE5. Experience in managing a budget in the Government of Canada.
