The Parole Board of Canada (PBC) is an independent administrative tribunal that, as part of the Canadian criminal justice system, makes quality conditional release and record suspension decisions, and clemency recommendations. The PBC contributes to the protection of society by facilitating, as appropriate, the timely reintegration of offenders as law-abiding citizens. Public safety is the primary consideration in all PBC decisions. The immediate need is to staff one (1) AS-02 full-time indeterminate positions.
A pool of qualified candidates will be establish to staff similar positions of various tenures and locations within the Parole Board of Canada.

EDUCATION:
ED: A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
ALL STREAMS
EX1: Experience providing advice and guidance to management or clients;
EX2: Experience providing administrative and project support and coordination;
EX3: Experience in writing and preparing various documents such as written reports, memos, awareness messages, presentations, standard operating procedures, etc.)
Bilingual - Imperative (BBB/BBB)

ASSETS QUALIFICATIONS
STREAM 1 (Security Officer):
AEX1: Experience in departmental security functions such as security screening, physical security, business continuity management, security event management, security awareness and training, and the overall management of security (including governance, planning, monitoring and reporting).
AEX2: Experience in addressing and resolving security related issues.
STREAM 2 (Accommodations Officer)
AEX3: Experience in the coordination and implementation of projects or program activities related to accommodations and facilities management.
AEX4: Experience in Procurement and Financial Administration, such as but not limited to processing invoices, coordinating contracts or service agreements, drafting statements of work and statements of requirements, and processing acquisition credit card reconciliations.
STREAM 3 ( Information Management Officer)
AEX5: Experience working with departmental records at various stages of the information lifecycle (such as file storage, reorganization, relabeling activities, etc.).
AEX6: Experience using, administering or supporting GC Docs.

Vaccination: As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring.
STREAM 1 (Security Officer)
Secret clearance - Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
The occupant of this position will be required to respond to alarm calls on off hours.
Willingness and ability to report to the office in-person for work on a full-time basis.
STREAM 2 (Accommodations Officer)
Reliability status - Must be able to obtain and maintain a reliability status.
Willingness and ability to report to the office in-person for work when required.
Must be able to lift boxes and equipment weighing up to 25 kg.
STREAM 3 ( Information Management)
Secret clearance - Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Must be able to lift boxes and equipment weighing up to 15 kg.
