Program Support Officers within the Transfer Payment Programs Division of Transport Canada are involved in all aspects of delivery of Transport Canada's grant and contribution programs. This includes, for example, the Incentives for Zero Emission Vehicles (iZEV) Program, grants and contributions programs for initiatives or consultations under the Ocean Protection Plan, Indigenous Participant Funding Program, Quiet Vessel Initiative, etc.

Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to establish a pool of qualified candidates for current and future vacancies within the Transfer Payments Programs Division of Transport Canada.

For greater clarity, we hope to conclude this process and begin appointing successful candidates from this pool starting in September 2022.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education:
ED: Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

NOTE: Candidates who already meet both of the following criteria will be accepted as meeting the secondary school diploma requirement:
- Candidates who have achieved a satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; and
- Candidates who have been appointed or deployed for an indeterminate period to a position in the PM classification.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
EX1: Experience providing administrative support.
EX2: Experience responding to inquiries, and/or promoting or providing guidance on programs.
EX3: Experience developing written documents (such as presentations, briefing notes, financial reports, etc.) by gathering information from various sources.

On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.

As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status.
