The Parole Board of Canada (PBC) is an independent administrative tribunal that, as part of the Canadian criminal justice system, makes quality conditional release and record suspension decisions, and clemency recommendations. The PBC contributes to the protection of society by facilitating, as appropriate, the timely reintegration of offenders as law-abiding citizens. Public safety is the primary consideration in all PBC decisions.

The immediate need is to staff one (1) AS-04 and one (1) AS-05 full-time indeterminate positions.
A pool of qualified candidates will be establish to staff similar positions of various tenures and locations within the Parole Board of Canada.

ALL STREAMS
EDUCATION:
ED: A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.
Notes:
The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
- A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an
alternative to a secondary school diploma; or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
ALL STREAMS
EXPERIENCE:
EX1: Recent and significant experience** with GCDocs (or equivalent system) doing
administration, security, file plans, training, holds, record dispositions and physical file management. You must clearly demonstrate experience* in at least five of the seven listed categories, with a combined experience exceeding the “recent and significant experience**” criteria;
EX2: Experience* identifying systemic IM issues and challenges to effective IM execution;
EX3: Experience* in project management.
Bilingual - Imperative (CBC/CBC)

STREAM 1 (AS-05)
EX4: At least three(3) years of experience working as member of an Information Management Branch at a senior/leadership level;
EX5: Experience supervising staff;
EX6: Experience* in providing strategic advice and recommendations to staff and senior management on information management issues.
Notes:
*Experience is normally acquired within a period of one year.
STREAM 2 (AS-04)
EX7: At least three (3) years of experience working as member of an Information Management Branch.
KNOWLEDGE:
K1: Knowledge of legislation and policies governing information management.
ABILITIES:
A1: Ability to manage priorities and respect deadlines;
A2: Ability to work under pressure;
A3: Ability to communicate effectively orally;
A4: Ability to communicate effectively in writing.

Willingness and ability to work overtime evenings and weekends on occasion.

VACCINATION: As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring.
