What You Will Be Doing
RE: 04
The Analyst provides moderately complex technical services in one of the assigned areas of Information Management/Information Technology (IM/IT), namely, application, data warehousing and business intelligence development and support, or quality assurance, in support of the Division’s IM/IT Strategic Plan and operational objectives.

RE: 05
The Senior Analyst contributes to the fulfilment of the Divisional operational objectives and supports the vision and objectives set out in the IM/IT Strategic Plan by providing first-line supervision of work teams, leadership of project teams and subject matter expertise in complex programming analysis and recommendations.

Successful completion of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management, another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed OR an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.

Degree equivalency

RE-04 & RE-05 (the RE-05 level requires significant experience** in the section below)
• Experience* troubleshooting applications supporting business operations in a production setting.
• Experience* developing solutions to satisfy business requirements in a team environment.
• Experience* writing and supporting quality assurance test artifacts.
• Experience* managing client requirements for IM/IT application design or development or maintenance (for example, bringing client requirements from discovery to functional software features by translating client requirements into functional, technical, or security requirements, and so on)

RE-05 only
• Significant experience** in solution delivery using Microsoft development tools.(e.g. Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, Power BI, Power Platform, MS Dynamics, SharePoint, SSAS, SSIS, SSRS)

• Experience* implementing business solutions in a production setting using one or more of the following Microsoft Cloud-based collaboration services: SharePoint Online, OneDrive, MS Teams.
• Experience* implementing business solutions in a production setting using one or more of the following Microsoft Cloud-based services: Dynamics 365, Power Automate, Power Apps, Azure Logic Apps.
• Experience* supporting or implementing test automation.
• Experience* investigating or resolving IT Security issues or incidents
• Experience* with implementing ETL design principles.
• Experience* working in a multi-developer environment using Team Foundation Server (TFS), Azure DevOps Services or a comparable source control tool.

RE-04 only
• Experience* performing application administration of applications supporting business operations in a production setting.
