Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, statistics, or a social science related to the position.
Candidates must always have a university degree. The courses for the specialization do not necessarily have to be part of a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
All experiences (essential and asset) should have been acquired within the last 5 years for a period of at least 2 consecutive years in total.
- Experience in advancing horizontal/corporate activities in collaboration with internal or external stakeholders.
- Experience in providing strategic advice and recommendations (written and verbal) to management to support decision-making.
Experience in researching, analyzing and condensing data from a variety of sources.
- Experience related to performance measurement and reporting, business planning, or risk management such as departmental reports on plans and priorities or performance reports.
Graduation with a Master’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization economics, statistics, or a social science related to the position.
- Experience identifying program risk, determining risk levels and developing risk mitigation strategies.
- Experience in collaborating or liaising with one or more of the following: other federal or provincial departments/agencies, international organizations, private sector companies or academia.
