On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.

As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring. The Ministerial Secretariat is part of the Deputy Minister’s Office and plays a key role in supporting the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, the Deputy Minister, the Associate Deputy Minister and senior departmental officials by providing strategic advice, expertise and executive operational services in support of Cabinet and parliamentary business, legislation and regulation, portfolio issues coordination and appointments, ministerial correspondence, ministerial invitations, and briefing needs. Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one (1) bilingual imperative PPC/CCC and one (1) bilingual imperative PPB/BBB positions for an indeterminate period.

A partially or fully assessed pool may be established to staff similar positions within the Department of Justice with various tenures, various linguistic profiles (bilingual imperative only), various operational requirements and/or various conditions of employment.

EDUCATION
ED1 - A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
EX1 - Significant* experience providing editorial advice to clients.
EX2 - Significant* experience in writing, editing, proofreading and providing quality control of English written materials.

*Significant: Is normally acquired through experience handling a large volume of written materials over approximately two (2) years.
