Duties

As a Warehouse Person, some of your duties will include:

- Furniture adjustments and set-ups

- Delivering and picking up office supplies

- Building furniture

- Set up of furniture for events

Intent of the process

The immediate intent of the process is to staff two (2) positions.

However, a pool of partially qualified candidates may be established and used to staff similar position with various tenures, security requirements and linguistic profiles, across Statistics Canada, upon approval from the Security and Facilities Division.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

EXP1 - Experience in providing client services
EXP2 - Experience in warehouse operations
EXP3 - Experience in the installation and/or assembly of furniture

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Mandatory use of safety equipment
Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (e.g. steel toe shoes, gloves, goggles)
Mandatory overtime may be required on short notice.
The incumbent must be able to lift and move boxes weighing up to 23 kg/50lbs, while practicing proper safety procedures

Information on employment equity

On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.

As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status.
