Intent of the process

The intent is to fill three (3) indeterminate (permanent) full-time vacancy.

A pool of qualified candidates will be established and may be used to staff similar positions at this group and level. This process may be used for various positions and tenures, security requirements, language requirements and conditions of employment.

EDUCATION

Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE

E1: Recent*and significant** experience in providing a full range of administrative services in support of, and within a work unit reporting to senior management*** (for example managing travel, scheduling meetings, maintaining files, and document preparation).

E2: Experience in the use of Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

E3: Experience in drafting, editing or reviewing correspondence and/or reports.


Note:

*Recent experience is understood to mean the performance of those duties acquired during the previous (2) years.

** Significant experience is understood to mean the depth and breadth of the experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of various, related activities which are normally acquired over a period of one (1) year.

***Senior Management is defined as Director level (EX-01 equivalent if in a Government organizational context) and above.

Experience in providing financial services in support of, and within a work unit reporting to senior management***(including drafting financial summaries, forecasts and budget reports).

Operational Requirements:

Ability and willingness to work overtime on occasion and on short notice.

On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.

As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring. Should you reach the point in the selection process where it is necessary to verify terms and conditions of employment then the hiring manager or a human resources representative will contact you in order to complete an attestation.

a. An exam/presentation may be administered and the ability to communicate effectively in writing might be evaluated with these documents and /or with other documents.
