The intent of this process is to staff one TI-06 position on an indeterminate basis. A pool of qualified and/or partially assessed candidates may be established to staff similar position with various tenures (indeterminate, term, deployment, assignment, secondment or acting opportunities) within Transport Canada (TC).

Required to pass a pre-employment Category III medical for Transportation Security Inspectors and pass a periodic medical every 5 years.

On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.
As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally: All written and verbal communication obtained throughout the selection process, from the time of application to close of process, will be used to evaluate the candidates. If a candidate does not respond to certain communications, their application may be interpreted as automatically withdrawn from the process.

ASSESSMENT – RESCHEDULING
Rescheduling will only be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. Supporting documentation will be required at the time of your request to be rescheduled.
Possible reasons for alternate assessment dates:
· Medical reason with doctor's certificate;
· Death in the immediate family;
· Professional obligation (proof required);
· Confirmation of pre-approved travel plans; or
· Religious reasons.
Preference will be given to veterans first and then to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
