Failing to do so could result in your application being rejected.

Health Canada would like its workforce to be reflective of the population it serves. Therefore, we encourage candidates to indicate voluntarily on their application if they are a member of one of these groups.
Give yourself the best chance to succeed! As the objective of this process is to assess qualifications needed for the position(s) to be staffed, let us know if you have a functional limitation/ disability, which may affect your performance. For example, contact us if you need assistance in completing and submitting your application. Should you then proceed to the next assessment stage, such as an exam or interview, we will send you an e-mail with additional information on the assessment format so that you can determine if you may require an accommodation (such as a different test format, an adaptive technology, or additional time). Assessment accommodations are designed to remove the obstacles without altering the criteria being assessed so candidates with functional limitations can fully demonstrate their abilities.

Would you like to help tackle what the World Health Organization calls the greatest threat to human health in the 21st century? If so, come join the team working to protect the health of Canadians from the impacts of climate change and build climate resiliency in our health system.
Public Health Knowledge Translation
Climate change is already having an impact on the health of Canadians and the health system. For public health policy and other decision makers, an understanding the complex science of climate change is paramount to making effective policy decisions. Interpreting the scientific findings, however, can prove a major challenge for those not directly involved in the science. Working with the Data and Innovation Division within CCIB, you will share your love of science and your desire to share that knowledge with a broader, non-scientific population. You will have the opportunity to translate complex science into a user friendly actionable content.
In particular, duties may include:
- Provide support to current activities of the Data and Innovation Division to advance the understanding of climate change and its impacts on the health of Canadians;
- Collaborate with internal and external partners and stakeholders; and
- Develop and create knowledge and information products to inform a multidisciplinary audience.
The Climate Change and Innovation Bureau is the focal point within Health Canada for coordinating research and disseminating information about the impacts of climate change on the health and well-being of Canadians, as well as building capacity across the country to address these impacts.
