Due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation, the selected candidate will work remotely from his/her residence until further notice. When the decision is made for employees to return to the workplace, the successful candidate is expected to work at the Transport Canada office in the National Capital Region. There may be a possibility of a combination of in office and remote work

Duties

- Processing various categories of vessel registry applications to ensure the accuracy of information.
- Advising clients on registration requirements and procedures pertaining to a variety of vessel registry transactions.
- Consulting with colleagues both regionally and nationally; consulting with officials in other jurisdictions to verify registry information.
- Issuing certificates of registry following application approval.

Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to staff permanent and term positions in the National Capital Region. However, a pool of essentially or partially qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar or equivalent positions of various durations (permanent, term, deployment, acting, assignment) and of various language requirements in Transport Canada.

Reliability Status security clearance
