Duties

The employees who will be appointed to GS-MPS-01 positions, Client Services Clerck, will work at the Cap Tourmente National Wildlife Area (CTNWA) located in Saint-Joachim in the Quebec City area. They will be responsible for welcoming, directing, and informing visitors of the regulations in effect as well as the activities and services offered. They will also collect and account for access fees to the site. In addition, they will respond to routine inquiries about CTNWA services by email or telephone, assist in taking group reservations, maintain records and prepare operational reports. The work is done mainly at the CTNWA ticket office or interpretive center.

Intent of the process

The intent of the process is to fill two seasonal positions (April to October) in Saint-Joachim, Québec.

A pool of qualified candidates will be established and could be used to staff similar positions within Saint-Joachim, Québec with different tenure at Environment and Climate Change Canada.

EXPERIENCE
E1. Experience in cashiering including settlement of transactions by various payment methods and revenue accounting.
E2. Experience in greeting the public and providing information to a variety of clients.
