On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.
As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring. - Coordinates and oversees the delivery of space management services at the CCGC, including office space and accommodation, as well as custodial, mailroom and storage-related services.
- Contributes to CCGC realty projects by liaising with the Project Services unit and providing input with regards to the management and furnishment of the space.
- Leads the development and implementation of CCGC office space management, accommodation, and stores and services related policies and procedures, and coordinates the procurement of equipment and materials.
- Provides advice to CCGC management on space management, administration, accommodation, and storage issues.
- Liaises with internal and external clients, stakeholders, and partners and represents CCGC accommodations and realty services.
- Maintains accurate records of College occupancy (in terms of office space and accommodations), office supplies and furniture, and stored materials and equipment.
- Supervises subordinates, including assigning tasks, establishing objectives and monitoring performance.
The Canadian Coast Guard College is a national maritime training facility located on scenic Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. It’s a national college that provides training and services in French and English. It delivers programs to support the College’s mission and mandate in marine safety, security and environmental protection.
The college’s unique and specialized training is sought after by organizations around the world. Each year, highly trained graduates join their colleagues as Coast Guard officers to provide services that are critical to Canadians.
The intent of this process is to staff one (1) position on a temporary basis. A list of qualified candidates will be created and may be used to staff similar positions, on a temporary or permanent basis, within the Canadian Coast Guard College in Sydney, NS.

EDUCATION:
A secondary school diploma or PSC approved alternatives.
EXPERIENCES:
Experience in the management and the supervision of personnel.
Experience in project management or in operation management.
Experience working in database, anayzing data, and preparing reports.
Experience in negotiating and resolving client issues/problems related to real property or facilities management.
Experience in forecasting or monitoring budgets.
ASSET EXPERIENCE:
Experience in management of installations and immobilization in a training institute.
Bilingual - Imperative (CBC/CBC)
