Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to staff one (1) GT 04 Asset Management System (AMS) Officer on an indeterminate basis in Québec, QC and two (2) GT 04 AMS Officers on a temporary basis in the CCG Central Region. A pool of qualified candidates will be created and may be used to staff similar positions on a temporary or permanent basis.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience related to the position.

Degree equivalency

Experience in using asset management software; for example: Maximo, SAP, DRIMS, comparable others.
Experience providing technical training* courses as an instructor in class or virtually.
Experience providing technical support**.
Experience in using video streaming programs such as MS Teams, Skype, or Zoom.

*Technical training is defined as training or coaching in the following fields of technology: Information technology (Computer applications and Computer Architecture and Design); educational technology; or in any other area as determined by the board. Technical training teaches the skills needed to design, develop, implement, maintain, support or operate a particular technology or related application, product or service.

**Technical Support is defined as providing assistance to users of technology products such as mobile phones, televisions, computers, software products or other informatics, electronic or mechanical goods; or in any other area as determined by the board.

Post-secondary certificate or degree in a field related to the position.
Note: Certificates or Degrees related to education, computer science, or IT systems will be considered most beneficial.

Degree equivalency

Experience leading the development and delivery of multi-day training course materials such as work instruction, quick reference guides and Microsoft PowerPoint course materials.
Experience in the development of computer based technical training modules or technical training videos.
Experience providing support in at least one phase of life cycle management.

Information on employment equity

On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.

As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status.
