The majority of Storesperson positions are found in a warehouse/stores organization on a Base/Wing or Defence Research facility. You would be responsible for the warehousing and distribution of goods, including hazardous goods, and for carrying out multiple warehouse functions such as procurement, receiving, shipping, storage, stocktaking, distribution of stock, material and disposal. You may supervise/lead a team as a subject matter expert.

The immediate need is to fill indeterminate vacancies in Halifax Nova Scotia, Borden Ontario, and Montreal Quebec.
This inventory may also be used by the Department of National Defence to fill current and future vacancies with various employment tenures (temporary and permanent) in other locations.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Operational Requirements may vary or be exchanged with Conditions of Employment, depending on the position to be filled. These may include:
Willing and able to lift up to 20 kg in accordance with safe work practices.
Willing and able to obtain Control of Hazardous Material certification.
Willing and able to obtain a Material Handling Equipment (MHE) certificate.
Willing and able to perform physical tasks such as, but not limited to, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, stooping, crouching.
Willing and able to work shiftwork, nights and weekends as required
Willing and able to work overtime if required
Willing and able to travel when required.

Conditions of Employment may vary depending on the position to be filled. These may include:
• Valid unrestricted provincial driver’s license

• Must be able to obtain and maintain Control of Hazardous Material certification
• Must be able to obtain and retain a Material Handling Equipment (MHE) certificate
