Important messages

Giving you the best chance to succeed!
At Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) we are committed to running inclusive and barrier-free recruitment processes. If you have a limitation that may impact your performance at any steps of the assessment process (such as during a written test or an interview), you may request an accommodation. Assessment accommodations are designed to remove barriers, and to ensure that candidates with limitations can fully demonstrate their abilities. Should you wish to be accommodated, please direct your inquiry to the contact identified at the bottom of this poster. All information received in relation to accommodation will be kept confidential. For more information on assessment accommodation visit the following website:

https://www.canada.ca/en/public-service-commission/services/assessment-accommodation-page.html

You will be required to show how you demonstrate the essential qualifications (i.e. experience) by answering online screening questions. You must provide concrete and detailed examples to clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience requirements listed in the essential qualifications section. The screening board cannot make any assumptions about your experience. It is not sufficient to say that you have the required qualifications or to list your current duties.
On your resume, for each of the essential qualifications (i.e. experience) one effective approach would be to write one or two paragraphs demonstrating that you have the required experience and ensure that clear and accurate details are provided. It is not sufficient to only state that the qualifications are met or to provide a listing of current or past responsibilities. Rather you must clearly demonstrate how, when, and where the qualification was met through substantiation by examples. Information on your described skills, experience, etc. provided in the screening questions should be supported by your resume.

Failure to provide the above information in the format required may result in your application being rejected from the process.
