The immediate intention of this process is to staff one (1) determinate position within the Voter Registration Services (VRS) division of the Electoral Data Services and Development Branch within Elections Canada.
A pool of fully or partially qualified candidates may be established to staff positions at the same group and level or equivalent within Elections Canada with various linguistic profiles on a temporary or permanent basis.

EDUCATION:
• Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution.
EXPERIENCE:
1. Experience* in compiling and analyzing information.
2. Experience* in at least one of the following areas:
• Experience in using systems for the management of data of a large database (such as TOAD, Golden or SQL Developer) or writing structured query using SQL (Structured Query Language);
• or experience in updating records from a large database individually or by batch;
• or experience in writing and executing software test scripts;
• or experience in writing procedures and documenting technical systems and processes;
• or experience in using statistical software (such as SAS, Advanced MS Excel, Advanced MS
Access)
NOTE: * A minimum of 6 months experience is required.
ASSET EDUCATION:
1. Post-secondary degree with an acceptable specialization in social science or statistics.
NOTE:
• Social science includes economics, political science, sociology, anthropology, history, psychology, geography, criminology and other disciplines associated with social science.
2. Post-secondary degree with an acceptable specialization in computer sciences in the field of programming and databases.
ASSET EXPERIENCE:
1. Experience in writing procedures and documenting technical systems and processes.
2. Experience in verification and correction of personal and address data.
3. Experience in testing software or systems.
4. Experience in using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
5. Experience using and programming SAS.
6. Experience in programming Structured Query Language (SQL) requests.
7. Experience in using geographic information systems (such as ArcGIS).
8. Experience working in an electoral context.
English or French

OTHER CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
• Willingness and ability to work overtime based on operational needs.
• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours when needed.
