For this selection process, it is our intention to communicate with candidates via email for screening and assessment purposes. A pool of (fully or partially qualified) candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions at the CO-02 group and level within Natural Resources Canada with various tenures (determinate period or permanent), various language profiles (English Essential, French Essential, English or French Essential, or Bilingual), linguistic requirements (imperative and/or non-imperative) and profile(s) (BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC, CCC/CCC, etc.), various security requirements (Reliability status or Secret clearance), various conditions of employment and for various locations.

Education:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in law, business administration, commerce, marketing, engineering, or other specialty relevant to the duties of the position.
At the manager’s discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience, that is comparable to a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization relevant to the work to be performed, may serve as an alternative to meet the minimum education standard. Whenever the minimum education standard is met through this alternative, it is met only for the position being staffed, and candidates must be re-assessed for future appointments or deployments where the manager has decided to use this alternative.
Experience:
EX1 - Experience in drafting and negotiating collaborative research agreements, fee-for-service research agreements, intellectual property license agreements, or international bilateral agreements
EX2 – Experience in researching and analyzing the market potential for emerging technologies or research outputs
EX3 - Experience in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with clients in federal, provincial, territorial, municipal governments, academia, private sector, not-for profit organizations or foreign stakeholders
Asset Qualifications:
AEX1 - Experience in the area of corporate law, engineering, science management, entrepreneurship, business or marketing
AEX2 – Experience in the clean technology, earth sciences, forest science, or other natural resources sectors
AEX3 - Experience in providing advice to clients and senior management (Director or equivalent and above)
AEX4 - Experience in the identification, management, protection, promotion or commercialization of intellectual property
AEX5 – Experience in international trade support or international science and technology innovation collaborations
AK1 - Knowledge of emerging or persistent issues relevant to the forest sector, earth sciences, mining and minerals

On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.
As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring.
