ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience within the security field.
EXPERIENCES:
EX1 - Experience in the support of a security program in at least one of the following fields (physical security, security screening, emergency management, business continuity management, security in contracting, security awareness).
EX2 - Experience in analyzing security-related issues and providing advice to management*.
*Management is defined as Manager and/or above.
KNOWLEDGE
K1 - Knowledge of the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat Policy on Government Security and related Directives and Standards.
ABILITIES
A1 - Ability to analyze problems, identify key issues and make recommendations.
A2 - Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
COMPETENCIES

ASSETS QUALIFICATIONS
AED1 - A certificate and/or a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a security-related field.
AEX1 - Experience in analysing the security requirements of contracts and recommending security clauses.
AEX2 - Experience in conducting threats and risks assessments and/or security design briefs.
AEX3 - Experience in analyzing security screening files and providing recommendations to management in relation to security screening.
AEX4 - Experience in developing and delivering security awareness training.
AEX5 - Experience in conducting security investigations.
AK1 - Knowledge of Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) security guidelines.
AK2 - Knowledge of the RCMP/CSE Harmonized Threat and Risk Assessment methodology.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Willingness and ability to work overtime on short notice.
- Willingness and ability to be on-call on a rotational basis.
- Willingness and ability to travel occasionally.
