The Farm Products Council of Canada (FPCC) is committed to diversity and inclusion. We welcome all

The FPCC is a dynamic micro-organization where you will interact with many partners and work closely with sector experts. You will be responsible for maintaining databases, conducting economic analysis and modeling on sectors of interest to FPCC, monitoring important economic indicators and preparing various reports for presentation to the Director and Board members.
The FPCC is a public interest oversight body reporting to Parliament through the Minister of Agriculture and AgriFood with the mandate to oversee the activities of the agencies created under the Farm Products Agencies Act (FPAA) and to work with them to promote more effective marketing of farm products.
The FPCC's specific role is to provide oversight of the national supply management agencies for poultry and eggs, and for the national promotion and research agencies for farm products.
The FPCC is a micro organization whose offices are located in the Central Experimental Farm.
The immediate need is to fill one position on an indeterminate basis. A pool of qualified and partially
qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures as well as various linguistic and security requirements.

Education:
- Graduation with a degree from a recognized university with an acceptable specialization in Economics,
Sociology, or Statistics.

Experience:
- Significant experience* in providing analysis, advice and recommendations to senior management** on complex socio-economic issues.
- Significant experience* in the economic analysis of supply management issues.
- Significant experience* in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
*Significant experience is understood to mean the depth and breadth normally associated with having performed activities related to this task for approximately two (2) years.
** Senior management: Includes Director level (or equivalent) and above.
Education:
- Master’s degree from a recognized university with an acceptable specialization in a field related to the position.
Experience:
- Experience in presenting and providing advice to decision making bodies.
- Significant experience* in working with dairy and/or poultry and egg industry stakeholders.
*Significant experience is understood to mean the depth and breadth normally associated with having performed activities related to this task for approximately two (2) years.

As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring.
