In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:
Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

Note:
Indeterminate incumbents in the IT group on December 9, 2021 who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the IT group.
Indeterminate incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the IT group.
At the manager’s discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience may serve as an alternative to the minimum education stated above. Whenever the minimum education is met using this alternative, it is met for the specific position only and must be re-assessed for other positions for which this alternative has been specified by the manager.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
EX-1: Significant and recent experience* in the delivery of information management (IM) / information technology (IT) Projects.

EX-2: Significant and recent experience* working and liaising with internal and/or external stakeholders** on complex*** issues.

EX-3: Significant and recent experience* providing strategic or technical recommendations to management (director and above) on information management/information technology (IM/IT) related issues.

EX-4: Significant and recent experience* in gathering and analyzing requirements specifically in the context of information management (IM) / information technology (IT) projects******.

EXPERIENCE DEFINITION:
* "Significant and recent experience" means a depth of experience in the IM/IT field that would normally be acquired over a period of two (2) or more years, within the last five (5) years.
**Internal stakeholders means other service lines within the organization involved in the project; External stakeholders refers to other partners or GC departments/agencies involved in the project.
***Complex refers to the following characteristics: multidimensional, sensitive, involving many stakeholders and competing requirements.
******Project refers to an activity or series of activities that has a beginning and an end. A project is required to produce defined outputs and realize specific outcomes in support of a public policy objective, within a clear schedule and resource plan. A project is undertaken within specific time, cost and performance parameters

ASSET EXPERIENCES:
AS-1: Experience in delivering cyber security related services or projects.
AS-2: Experience in leading projects for the delivery of enterprise services/solutions.
AS-3: Significant and recent experience* in the project delivery of workload migration, IT security and/or infrastructure services.
AS-4: Experience applying project management principles and best practices during the planning, implementation, monitoring and/or close out phases of projects******.
AS-5: Experience in working in an Enterprise Project Management Office.
AS-6: Experience in the management of human and/or financial resources.

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance - Security clearance: reliability, enhanced reliability, secret or top secret depending on the position to be staffed
