As a Programmer Analyst - Application Development, you will be joining an innovative team, working towards adopting the latest technology to improve and modernize many key applications supporting the Departmental priorities. Our ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, a strong communicator, incredibly curious, and technically capable, with a focus on providing IM/IT specialized solutions in the relationship management, case management and Customized-Off-the-Shelf areas. This will include the modernization of some existing legacy applications into modern and streamlined platforms, along with the rapid development of new applications, platforms, and data integrations to support a range of scientific projects.

A pool of partially assessed candidates will be established through this process and will be used to staff positions with various language and security requirements in various locations across Canada.

EDUCATION:
ED1: Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

EXPERIENCE:
EX1: Recent* and significant** experience in developing, configuring, testing, and deploying new or enhanced functionality in IM/IT systems.
EX2: Recent* and significant** experience providing technical recommendations to clients or colleagues.
EX3: Recent* and significant** experience in providing support for IM/IT systems.
EX4: Recent* and significant** experience in analyzing business requirements and converting them to IM/IT solutions.

*Recent experience is defined as the experience normally acquired within the last five (5) years.
**Significant experience is defined as depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the performance of those duties regularly for a period of two (2) years.
Breadth and depth are defined as a combination of time spent doing the activity, as well as the type (range, scope, and complexity) of work performed.

AEX1: Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 PowerApps configuration or customization

In order to be appointed to a position, a Security Clearance (either Reliability level or Secret level) will be required. You will be expected to maintain this clearance throughout the duration of your employment.
