The intent of this selection process is to create a pool of qualified candidates to be used to staff this or similar positions within Fisheries and Oceans Canada on an indeterminate, specified period (term), acting, deployment, secondment, or assignment basis.

Your résumé.
Education:
• Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in a field relevant to the duties of the position OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience related to the duties of the position.
Experience:
• Experience conducting studies, research or analysis of complex policies, management plans, agreements or contracts.
• Experience developing written materials such as but not limited to; letters, reports, agreements, contracts, briefing notes and Memorandums of understanding.
Asset Education:
• Masters or higher from a recognized university with a specialization in fields related to Business Administration (Commerce), Public Administration, Biology, Management of Natural Resources (terrestrial, marine or aquatic), Environmental Science, Environmental Studies or Economics.
Asset Experience:
• Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with Indigenous governments and/or Indigenous organizations; with fishing industry stakeholders and/or licence holders; with other stakeholders and/or partners.
• Experience communicating in Inuktitut and/or Innu-aimun.
Asset Knowledge:
• Knowledge of the commercial, recreational and/or Indigenous fisheries, and the fishing industry in the Newfoundland and Labrador Region.
• Knowledge of the Indigenous groups in Labrador, and the organizations that represent them.
