Duties

Duties:

You will be part of an agile team, working with a group of IT and business professionals to deliver a new Microsoft Dynamics 365 Grants & Contributions platform. This transformational project will enable the Agency to become more agile, open and user-focused to deliver programs more quickly to clients in Atlantic Canada. This opportunity will provide you with experience in applying agile principles and scrum methodologies, deliver on sprint goals and implement user focused, innovative ideas that improve team efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret business requirements to develop IT solutions in Microsoft Dynamics 365
• Customize Web Client or Dynamics 365 for MS Outlook to include scripting integration/development of custom Web pages, using Dynamics 365 user interface and style guides
• Create and modify Dynamics 365 forms, views, dashboards and reports
• Customize entity model and Dynamics 365 security model, and create new Dynamics 365 components
• Create and modify PowerApps, including Canvas Apps
• Create/perform unit testing of the solution modules during development
• Respond to bug reports and fix issues
• Perform technical options analysis and produce recommendations
• Transfer knowledge to other team members
• Estimate level of effort and story points for development technical of components
• Work with Azure Devops for scrum priorities, sprint backlog and source control
• Document system design and detailed deployment instructions
• Maintain standard look and feel as defined by the client

Deliverables:

To work with the team and deliver on the following:
• CRM configurations, including but not limited to forms/fields updated entity models, reports, dashboards, workflow, business rules, etc.
• CRM customizations, including but not limited to plugins, web resources, scripts, etc.
• PowerApps
• Updating existing and/or creating new web services
• SharePoint components such as custom workflow, event receivers, list/library modifications, scripts
• Well-documented scripts and source code
• Documented system design and deployment instructions
• Documented issues and related resolutions
• Recommendations and technical options as applicable

Intent of the process

This inventory is for casual employment. Casual employment is a temporary employment of 90 working days or less, in a calendar year, to meet needs arising from such contingencies as vacations, sick and training leaves, to conduct special projects that are anticipated but dependent on the availability of funds, etc.

NOTE: Casual appointments are excluded from the provisions of the Public Service Employment Act (PSEA). This means casual appointments will not be eligible to apply to internal appointment processes. In addition, the PSEA specifies that the number of days worked as a casual employee cannot exceed 90 days in a calendar year within the same department.

EDUCATION:
Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed or at the manager's discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
Experience configuring and customizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 (SaaS and/or GCcase) – creating fields, customizing forms, workflows and views
Experience building and deploying Microsoft Dynamics 365 C#.NET plugins
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 client-side automation with JavaScript and/or TypeScript
Experience developing SOAP and RESTFUL web services (OData)
Experience developing technical documentation
Experience with SQL Server databases and writing SQL queries, stored procedures
Experience building PowerApps Apps

KNOWLEDGE:
