Step 3: We will carefully review all of your qualifications.
🔸 Ensure contractors and shipyards compliance to operational requirements and contracts’ terms and conditions, providing quality assurance, technical and logistic services in support of Navy fleets.
🔸 Assesses risks, plans, prioritizes and schedules Quality Assurance (QA) surveillance activities during the design, manufacturing, maintenance, repair and disposal processes, for the delivery of a variety of Ship and Vessel platforms, components and systems.
🔸 Contributes to the development of inspection plans, reporting systems or mechanisms and implementation of strategies for effective technical inspections and work acceptance (including system functional testing and trials) and delivery of ships to the RCN.
🔸 Researches, develop and recommend implementation of technical solutions or approaches.
🔸 Supports technical, procurement and contract authorities, resolving issues with contractors, collaborating with contracts’ stakeholders in clarifying critical quality, technical and logistical requirements.

EDUCATION:
A postsecondary diploma from a program of at least two (2) years from a recognized technological institute with a specialization in a technical or scientific field, such as:
- Electrical engineering
- Metallurgical engineering
- Electronics
- Naval architecture
- Mechanical engineering
- Industrial engineering
- Electro dynamic and control, or
- Another technological expertise deemed pertinent, related to the marine field.
OR
An acceptable combination of education, training and experience in a technological field deemed relevant to the position being staffed.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience providing quality assurance services, such as verifications; system, process or product audits.
Experience in providing technical services in a technological or industrial field related to the position being staffed.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience performing system, process and product audits.
Experience of combat, electrical, mechanical systems or naval architecture performing vessel / Ship maintenance.
Experience as an auditor/ Certified Auditor.
Experience with the process used in the manufacturing or repair/overhaul of military equipment and material.
Experience in providing advice and recommendations to clients or management.

🔸Possess a valid class 5 driver’s license without restriction, issued by Quebec province or the provincial or Canadian territorial equivalent.

5. On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.
As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring.
