Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) is proud to be named one of Canada's Top 100 Employers 2021, National Capital Region’s Top Employer 2021, and Canada’s Best Diversity Employers 2021. These awards recognize Canadian employers with exceptional human resources programs, forward-thinking workplace policies, and exceptional workplace diversity and inclusiveness programs.
Every year governments fund hundreds of businesses to help them start up and grow. But if businesses cannot find the right programs, they cannot take advantage of them. We are changing that, through a really smart digital platform and a network of Innovation Advisors across the country.
We need your help to support the growth of innovative Indigenous businesses and, more specifically, to forge, develop and maintain stronger relationships with Indigenous business communities within Canada.
The Accelerated Growth Service (AGS) is looking to hire Senior Innovation Advisors who will help in facilitating access to programs offered by various levels of federal, regional, and local public and private business support organizations for Indigenous businesses, and to promote these programs to Indigenous entrepreneurs and Indigenous-owned businesses.
As a Senior Innovation Advisor you will need to have an eye for spotting game-changing businesses in order to match them with the supports and resources that can take them to the next level. And you will build new relationships between programs, partners, and Indigenous entrepreneurs as you spread the word about everything government can do to help them scale up, grow, and create the jobs of the future.
You are adaptable and agile, so you can adjust your objectives as markets and their businesses evolve. You demonstrate perseverance, grit, creativity, courage and resourcefulness.
Sound like you? Then we think you would make a powerful addition to the Innovation Canada team.
