The immediate need is to staff eight (8) indeterminate positions.
The Team Leader positions requires a Bilingual Imperative CBC/CBC language profile.
A pool of partially qualified candidates will be established. This process may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures (Acting, Assignment, Deployment, Indeterminate, Secondment, Specified period), linguistic profiles (Bilingual imperative CBC/CBC, Bilingual imperative BBB/BBB) and security clearance levels, within Library and Archives Canada.

EDUCATION:
FOR BOTH STREAMS
Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.
Notes: Indeterminate incumbents in the IT group on December 9, 2021 who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the IT group.
Indeterminate incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience. EXPERIENCE:
FOR BOTH STREAMS
EXP 1 : In one or more of the following fields, a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the past five (5) years:
1. IT Operations;
2. IT Network and Infrastructure;
3. IT Security;
4. IT Application development;
5. Business intelligence (BI) and database;
6. IT Project Management and Oversight;
7. Enterprise Architecture;
8. Collaboration workspace management.
EXP2: A minimum of one (1) year of experience in analyzing and solving problems using a structured and methodical approach;
EXP 3: A minimum of one (1) year of experience in providing support, services or recommendations to clients or management (i.e. manager, director and above) related to IT;
EXP4: A minimum of one (1) year of experience contributing and performing tasks or activities on IT projects or initiatives.

EXPERIENCE:
FOR THE TEAM LEADER STREAM ONLY:
AEXP1: Experience in supervising, managing or supervising the work of government employees or contractors.
IT OPERATIONS (TEAM LEADER):
AEXP2: Experience in providing IT assistance, services or recommendations to clients or management (i.e. manager, director and above) related to IT;
AEXP3: Experience leading IM/IT projects using project management methodologies or leading technical issues using ITIL best practices;
AEXP4: Experience in writing operational procedures and the use of a Service Management tool (SCSM, Onyx, Remedy, Assist, ECD, Infoman, HP Service Manager or others).
IT NETWORK AND INFRASTRUCTURE (TECHNICAL ADVISOR):
AEXP 5: Experience in using or supporting Cloud infrastructure;
AEXP6: Experience in supporting and maintaining Windows, Windows Server and/or Linux-Unix Operating systems;
AEXP7: Experience working with partners and/or service providers.
IT SECURITY (TEAM LEADER AND TECHNICAL ADVISOR):
AEXP8: Experience managing Cyber Incidents;
AEXP9: Experience conducting Security Assessment and Authorization (SA&A – ITSG-33) for IT systems;
AEXP10: Experience (1 or multiple) creating Threat and Risk Assessment (TRA), Statement of Sensibility (SoS), Security Awareness and Training material or other risk assessment material for IT system.
IT APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT (TEAM LEADER):
AEXP 11: Experience working with or validating TBS Accessibility Web Standards;
AEXP 12: Experience working with web services or API (application programming interface);

AEXP 15: Experience in extracting, manipulating, transforming, and analyzing complex data sets from a variety of sources, particularly from relational databases;
AEXP 16: Experience in writing complex and efficient SQL queries.
IT PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND OVERSIGHT (TECHNICAL ADVISOR):
AEXP 17: Experience in leading or providing oversight on IT projects or project portfolio while applying project management methodologies and best practices;
AEXP 18: Experience in producing, presenting and updating reports and deliverables related to IT project management;
AEXP 19: Experience in using a project management or project portfolio management systems such as Clarity or CA PPM;
ENTERPRISE ARCHITECTURE (TECHNICAL ADVISOR):

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Willingness to work at the different LAC buildings in the NCR or regional offices, hybrid approach or in telework mode;
Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and work overtime as needed and often on short notice.

On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.
