WORK FROM WHERE YOU ARE
Our team has been working remotely since March 2020. While we don’t know what our “office of the future” will look like, we do know that remote work works. That means you don’t need to be in any of our NCR or Regional Offices to be considered for a role on this team.
It could be possible for you to telework from anywhere within Canada.
Please note: We use the cover letter question to assess your communication skills. This includes reading comprehension, writing style, and the ability to effectively communicate in writing. We also assess your abilities to work under pressure and solve problems.
This inventory is for casual employment. 💼
NOTE: Casual appointments are excluded from the provisions of the Public Service Employment Act (PSEA). This means casual appointments will not be eligible to apply to internal appointment processes. In addition, the PSEA specifies that the number of days worked as a casual worker cannot exceed 90 days in a calendar year within the same department.

EDUCATION:
The minimum standard is:
• A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives (See Note 1)

1. The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
o A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
o An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Candidates who already meet both of the following criteria must be accepted as meeting the secondary school diploma requirement.

On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.
As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring. Should you reach the point in the selection process where it is necessary to verify terms and conditions of employment then the hiring manager or a human resources representative will contact you in order to complete an attestation.
Candidates may be required to meet the asset qualifications or the organizational needs, depending on the requirements of the specific position being staffed.
