Looking for a new opportunity, with a favorable work-life balance arrangement, and competitive benefits? Perhaps you wish to challenge yourself and work for a department that is committed to finding ways to continuously advance transportation safety in Canada.
Then look no further!
The TSB is an independent arm's length agency that reports to Parliament through the President of the Queen's Privy Council for Canada. The organization aspires to be a modern world-class organization that evolves and adapts as it strives to influence changes that advance transportation safety. The TSB has a strong and credible reputation in Canada and around the world.
The uniqueness of the agency is reflected in its size, as a small organization with approximately 220 employees and 5 Board Members, including the Chair. The organization operates in a decentralized manner in 10 locations across Canada, and employees work in a close collaborative fashion. The marine group consists of less than 30 employees located in 4 offices across the country including the head office in Gatineau Québec. However, the nature of the work, and the progressive manner in which the department fulfills its mandate means that there is flexibility offered for marine professionals to work remotely . Imagine joining an organization where you have the opportunity to bring about real change within the Transportation system - all without having to move!
With this selection process, we are looking to fill positions in the Central Region encompassing the Great Lakes, the majority of the St. Lawrence Seaway, and Canada’s Arctic. While the regional office is located in the Quebec City area, you may be able to work from you where you live! Irrespective of these primary responsibilities to this region, you could be called to support or contribute to any occurrence across the country.
In addition to these positions in central region, a pool of qualified candidates may be established and used to staff similar positions with varying tenures in various locations such as Dartmouth NS, Richmond BC, or Gatineau QC. The TSB is committed to advancing transportation safety while being flexible, inclusive, and barrier-free.

*Please note that your ability to communicate in writing will be assessed based on your answers to the screening questions.
