In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:
A secondary school diploma OR an acceptable combination of education, training and experience. (Acceptable combination is defined as a minimum of three years secondary school combined with one year on the job training in the field of Information Management and experience performing Information Management functions on a full time basis for at least twelve months.)

EXPERIENCE:
Recent experience, defined as experience gained within the last two years, in the management of information and records according to established policies, directives, standards and guidelines.

Experience in using a document and information management systems that enables sharing of digital information, such as GCdocs (the Government of Canada enterprise content management system). Note: Experience in using systems other than GCDocs will be considered as equivalent if they are used to enable the sharing and management of digital information.

KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of TB Policy on Government Security and the TB Security Organization and Administration Standard (relating to security classification of information).

COMPETENCIES:
Supervision – Ability to give guidance and direction to subordinates and to establish targets for quality and for productivity within a unit.

Lead –Ability to effectively influence the opinions, attitudes, and behaviour of others. .

Action Management –Ability to move projects forward to achieve effective and timely results and ability to identify operational requirements for financial and human resources.

Client Service Orientation – Ability to understand and meet the needs of clients.

Initiative – Ability to seek to actively influence events rather than passively accept the status quo.

Effective interpersonal relationships – Ability to produce good results through interaction with other individuals.

Judgement –Ability to make appropriate, logical, and practical decisions.

Communicate effectively orally –Ability to communicate ideas and information orally in a way that ensures the messages are understood by others

Communicate effectively in writing – Ability to express oneself so as to articulate a point of view in such a way that it is clear, concise, understood, and accepted.

6) On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.
As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring. Should you reach the point in the selection process where it is necessary to verify terms and conditions of employment then the hiring manager or a human resources representative will contact you in order to complete an attestation.

Preference

Preference will be given to veterans first and then to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
