VACCINATION
On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.
As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring. Should you reach the point in the selection process where it is necessary to verify terms and conditions of employment then the hiring manager or a human resources representative will contact you in order to complete an attestation.

EDUCATION
Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.
Note:
1. Indeterminate incumbents in the IT group on December 9, 2021 who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the IT group.
2. Indeterminate incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience. EXPERIENCE
Experience working, developing, operating or supporting IM/IT solutions to meet business needs.
Experience providing technical services or solutions in at least one of the following areas:

**ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
Position A – Business intelligence developer or business analyst
1. Experience working in Scrum teams on projects and working in an environment using Agile software development methodology.
2. Experience with scripting languages such as SQL, Python.
3. Experience in co-designing solutions with clients and in rapid-prototyping.
4. Experience gathering user requirements and translating business needs into analytics/reporting requirements and solutions.
5. Experience working with Azure analytics services (e.g. Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, Synapse) and/or ETL software (MS SSIS, IBM DataStage, Informatica).
Position B – Enterprise Data Management analyst
1. Experience in data management or database management such as master data management, DAMA DMBok, ETL processing, EDW, data relationships, metadata management, governance catalog, data profiling or data quality.
2. Experience planning, coordinating and/or facilitating data steward working groups.
3. Experience supporting the development of data standards / policies.
4. Experience in actively participating in inter departmental working groups.
5. Experience providing client services in the development of data management solutions and artefacts including identifying and analyzing current and future client needs.
Position C – Platform analyst
1. Experience supporting the development of technical documents such as: architectures, concepts of operations, designs, procedures, specifications reports or standards.
2. Experience with key platform elements such as network elements, security elements (e.g. firewalls), data center elements, database administration, application programing interfaces (API), code repositories (e.g. DevOps, TFS).
3. Experience supporting the development of solution architectures.
4. Experience supporting the configuration of Azure analytics services (e.g. Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, Synapse, Purview etc.).
5. Experience supporting cloud services or managing cloud-based environments.
Position D – Data Science
1. Experience performing complex data exploitation on large volumes of data.
2. Experience in the creation and implementation of algorithms and statistical techniques.
3. Experience with supervised and unsupervised machine learning.
4. Experience with text analytics and natural language processing (NLP).
5. Experience in the design, creation, and implementation of graph analytics.
Position E – Innovation Analyst, Emerging Technologies
1. Experience in supporting the planning of IM/IT prototypes, projects or initiatives.
2. Experience in maintaining effective working relationships with IM/IT and clients.

3. Experience leading product development from concept to release, while ensuring continuous improvement.
4. Experience providing product management advice and guidance to clients, senior management, and other stakeholders.
