Your mandate:
Under the supervision of the Regional director, the Team Leader, Procurement outreach:
• Leads and manages the team of buyers / advisors responsible for supporting suppliers in their procurement journey;
• Develops and recommends communication plans and strategies to ensure effective procurement outreach;
• Consults and advises partners in order to develop a structure for the team's service offerings;
• Works with the regional procurement team to enable the region to meet its supplier diversity targets.
PSPC helps the Government of Canada serve Canadians by providing federal departments with the equipment, spaces and services they need to meet the needs of Canadians.
Our team (Procurement Assistance Canada) supports organizations wishing to become a supplier to the federal government through education and assistance services, such as self-service tools, seminars, workshops and a personalized assistance service.
Moreover, you can make a real difference by helping businesses from under-represented groups (such as Indigenous people, women, or people with accessibility challenges) access federal government business opportunities.

to hold an indeterminate full-time position within the Procurement Assistance Canada Directorate for the department of Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC).

EDUCATION:
Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
✍️ EXP1 – Significant* experience managing operations or program or procurement or procurement projects. This experience should include but not be limited to planning, developing, implementing, achieving or delivering results.
✍️ EXP2 – Significant* experience working in multidisciplinary*** teams or working groups made up of different stakeholders, such as different departments, different levels of government, sector associations, non-profit organizations (NPOs), etc.
✍️ EXP3 – Recent** and significant* experience preparing, communicating and providing recommendations on strategic or policy advice on operational or project or procurement matters through briefing notes, correspondence or presentations to one or many of the following recipients:
• Senior management
• Customers
• Suppliers
• Stakeholders
✍️ EXP4 – Recent** experience in human resources management. This is defined as the supervision of personnel, including assignment of work.
Definitions:
* "Significant experience" is defined as the depth and breadth of experience that would normally be acquired over a minimum of two (2) consecutive years.
** "Recent experience" is understood to mean experience acquired over the past five (5) years.
*** "Multidisciplinary working groups" means a group of members with diverse but complementary experience, qualifications and skills who contribute to the achievement of the specific objectives of the organization.

COVID-19 VACCINATION POLICY:
On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.
As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring. Should you reach the point in the selection process where it is necessary to verify terms and conditions of employment then the hiring manager or a human resources representative will contact you in order to complete an attestation.
