Education:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in chemistry, physics, engineering or some other specialty related to the position.
Experience in at least one of the following criteria: *
• Experience working with or handling hazardous materials, including, but not limited to, explosives.
• Experience in incident analysis and reporting.
• Experience working in a regulated or regulatory environment.
*Experience can be obtained through work experience or academic study.
Knowledge:
• Knowledge of the Canadian legislation and regulations as it pertains to explosives.
Abilities:

Information on language requirements
• Work experience or academic study of explosives and/or use of pyrotechnics.
• Knowledge of the fundamental principles of safety which apply to the manufacturing, handling, storage, transportation and use of energetic materials, e.g., explosives, fuels, oxidizers.
Secret security clearance
• Must have a valid driver’s licence.
• Must be willing to travel within Canada, including remote locations.
• Must be willing and able to work occasional overtime, outside and in all weather conditions.
