More specifically, the internal audit project lead is responsible for carrying out audit engagements using the resources allocated to them. They manage the implementation of the audit program, update all working documents, and writes reports. They also perform special examinations as required.

The intent of this process is to staff one indeterminate position in one of our PSC offices (Gatineau, Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, or Vancouver). A full-time telework arrangement could be considered from anywhere in Canada however you might be required to report back to one of the PSC offices on an ad hoc basis. Should the telework agreement come to an end, you will be required to report to and work onsite from one of the PSC Offices.
A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions on an indeterminate or term basis with various linguistic requirements/profiles and/or security requirements within the public service.

Asset Education:
Graduation with a Master's degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.
Asset Experience:
AE1. Experience in internal audit professional practices.
AE2. Experience in supervising or coaching employees
AE3. Experience in performing internal audit quality assurance or quality reviews.
AE4. Experience in leading all phases (planning, execution and reporting) of audit or evaluation engagements.
AE5. Experience in preparing written materials for management (Director or equivalent level and above) that include advice and recommendations such as but not limited to briefing notes, presentations and reports.

On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details* of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.
As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police,** federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring. Should you reach the point in the selection process where it is necessary to verify terms and conditions of employment then the hiring manager or a human resources representative will contact you in order to complete an attestation.
