EG04: Project coordinator
Summary of duties

Under the supervision of the Project Team Leader and/or Project Manager, you will provide technical assistance for construction and/or interior design projects by participating in the planning, design and implementation of works .The Project coordinator’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Monitor the progress and quality of the work during implementation, in accordance with plans, specifications and schedule;
- Manage and coordinate all deliveries and installation of supplies (furniture, signage, specialized equipment);
- Manage and coordinate client moving activities;
EG-05: Project Officer
Summary of duties

Under the supervision of the Project Team Leader and/or Project Manager, you will coordinate construction and/or interior design projects. The Project Officer’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Advising clients on cost, benefits and risks of various strategies for project implementation;
- Resolving key issues related to project delivery;
- Ensuring that services conform to standards, procedures and objectives, in keeping with timelines and to the full satisfaction of clients;
- Reviewing contract and project-related documents and the work of contractors with respect to adherence to project specifications and terms of reference, and ensuring compliance.
EG-06: Project Management Officer
Summary of duties

Under the supervision of the Project Team Leader and/or Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of assigned projects (deadlines, cost, scope and quality) from planning to execution. The Project Management Officer’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Establishing and tracking timelines and budgets;
- Coordinating the work of project team members involved in planning, design, construction, commissioning and evaluation;
- Conducting quality assurance and reviews during all phases of service delivery to ensure all objectives related to deadlines, costs and quality are met and satisfy client requirements.

Post-secondary degree in a field related to interior design, architecture, engineering or project management with respect to real property or engineering assets (such as bridges, dams, docks or roads) from a recognized educational institution or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience in a field relevant to the positions.
Experience:

1. Experience working in multidisciplinary project teams.
2. Experience providing advice to clients, colleagues in other sectors and/or management.

1. Recent and significant* experience in overseeing the implementation of construction and interior design projects.
FOR EG-05 POSITIONS
1. Recent and significant* experience in coordinating the implementation of construction and interior design projects involving multiple internal and/or external stakeholders (such as clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, etc.).
2. Recent and significant* experience in tracking timelines, scope of work requirements, and relationships with suppliers and/or internal specialists.
3. Plus: Experience required at EG-04.
FOR EG-06 POSITIONS
1. Recent and significant* experience in managing construction or interior design projects from the planning phase through design and implementation.
2. Recent and significant* experience in establishing and managing budgets, timelines and quality.

* Recent and significant* experience is defined as experience acquired in the fields relevant to the positions, which will be evaluated based on the duration, the variety and complexity of the tasks performed, the candidate’s level of responsibility, the type of projects, and the number and level of stakeholders. Asset - Experience:
- Recent experience* with the National Project Management System (NPMS)/Project Navigator or PMI (Project Management Institute).
- Recent experience* supervising and/or managing employees and/or multidisciplinary teams related to the delivery of construction and/or building operations projects.
- Recent experience* in coordinating moves (commercial/institutional) and/or furniture installation.
- Recent experience* providing technical support as part of construction projects in the maritime field (such as wharves, bridges and dredging).
- Recent experience* providing technical support in the operation or maintenance of institutional and/or specialized buildings.

On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.
As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring.
