The intent of this process is to find qualified candidates to fulfill firefighting (FR 00 & FR 01) duties at Det Dundurn on a *casual basis.
*Casual employment is a type of contract that does not exceed 90 working days in a calendar year.

NFPA 1006 – High Angle Rescue
Note: NFPA qualifications must be IFSAC/Pro-Board accredited.

**Depending on the position being staffed:

Reliability Status security clearance
1. EMR or PCP with Saskatchewan College of Paramedics
2. Provincially required licence for operation of a fire service vehicle with air brake endorsement.
3. Must maintain the DND404 licence once obtained.
4. Must meet the medical requirements of Health Canada in accordance with the Treasury Board guidelines.
5. Must successfully complete the Canadian Forces Fire Marshal’s Firefighter Pre-Entry Fitness Evaluation (CFFM’S FPFE).
6. Shift work.
7. Overtime.
8. Must attend applicable trade training courses as selected and scheduled by the employer.
9. All employees of the core public administration are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, unless accommodated based on a medical contraindication, religion, or another prohibited ground for discrimination as defined under the Canadian Human Rights Act and attest to their vaccination status.
