CanNor is looking to fill 1 full-time IT Support Technician position (IT-01 / CS-01) and 1 full-time Information Management Officer position (AS-03) at its headquarters in Iqaluit, Nunavut. These permanent positions are perfect for people with technical backgrounds who are detail-oriented and like working with computers and people.
The salary range for the IT-01 (CS-01) position is: $60,696 to $78,216 and for the AS-03 position is $65, 547 to $70,622. In addition, the selected candidates will also be entitled to:
-A northern isolated post allowance (approximately $22,000/ year to $37,000/year*).
-Vacation travel assistance of approximately $1,500 per person* (i.e. for employee and eligible dependents, including spouse/common-law partner), twice per year.
-Federal government housing is also available for these positions.

• The IT Support Technician (IT-01 / CS-01) position provides technical support in the development, implementation, integration and maintenance of components of IT infrastructure and operations, in support of service delivery to internal and external clients and stakeholders.
• The Information Management Officer (AS-03) coordinates, plans, develops and delivers a corporate wide information and records management service throughout the Agency.

For the EDUCATION requirements, for the IT-01 (CS-01) position we are looking for:
ED1 : Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience may serve as an alternative to the minimum post-secondary education stated.
For the EDUCATION requirements, for the AS-03 position we are looking for:
ED2 : A secondary school (or ‘high school’) diploma OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience:
For the EXPERIENCE requirements, for the IT-01 (CS-01) position we are looking for:
E1. Experience providing on-site or remote IT Support Services to clients in a business or educational setting.
E2. Recent* experience configuring AND supporting personal computer hardware in a MS Windows network environment.
For the EXPERIENCE requirements, for the AS-03 position we are looking for:
E1: Experience performing file organization and management (search and retrieval) or managing information life cycle.
