EDUCATION:

EDU: Graduation with a degree* from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field related to the duties of the position (e.g., media, public relations, communications, journalism, marketing or any other discipline related to the position).

*Degree: Unless otherwise specified (e.g., master's degree), the term "degree" refers to a bachelor's degree, as established by the appropriate educational authorities.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

E1: Recent* and significant** experience in managing human*** and financial resources****.

E2: Recent* and significant** experience managing media activities/events and internal and external communications campaigns.

E3: Recent* and significant** experience providing strategic and technical advice to senior management***** on issues related to internal and external communications.

*Recent experience is defined as experience gained within the past five (5) years.

**Significant experience is defined as experience of a breadth and depth that represents the performance of a diverse range of activities related to the position. This experience is generally acquired over a period of approximately three (3) consecutive years.

***Experience in managing human resources means that applications must clearly demonstrate that they have led a working team of at least 10 employees and have been responsible for strategic planning, priority setting, human, financial, material resources and team performance management.

****Financial management means that applicants must demonstrate that they have managed a budget for which they were responsible. This experience encompasses responsibility for financial planning, forecasting and accountability. Candidates must also indicate the size of the budget they directly managed.

*****Senior managers: Director General, Assistant Deputy Minister, Deputy Minister and/or Minister.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:

A1: Recent* and significant** experience in establishing and maintaining partnerships involving internal and/or external client/stakeholders.

A2: Experience developing and implementing integrated and creative communications strategies and/or communications plans.

A3: Recent experience* with digital or electronic communications, social media and new communication platforms.
