► INSTRUCTIONS TO FOLLOW

3. Specific details of tasks, projects, or accomplishments demonstrating how
the experience was acquired.
The screening questions will be used as the primary tool in the screening process and the résumé will be used to substantiate the information provided.
Applications that do not clearly demonstrate how the screening criteria are met may be eliminated from consideration.
On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service. As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring. As the Business Solutions Verification Technician, your primary responsibility will be to perform quality assurance and maintain the system health of the integrated security software systems in the new Justice Security Operations Centre (JSOC). You will be a key member of the team that will be responsible for a nationwide security-monitoring program. You will participate as a Subject Matter Expert in the configuration and deployment of various systems and software updates, ensuring that proper testing is performed. You will research system capabilities, functionalities, and the integration of new devices to help support operational requirements. Regional representatives from across the country and local JSOC operators will rely on your advice, expertise, coaching and training. Although you report directly to the Manager of the JSOC, you will also work with other members of Safety, Security, and Emergency Management Division to ensure all security systems are properly tested.
The Safety, Security and Emergency Management Division reports to the Director General, Corporate Services Branch who is also the Chief Security Officer. The Branch is focused on creating an environment of respect and trust where people look forward to coming in to work every day. EDUCATION
ED1: A secondary school diploma and completion of an acceptable training program in electronics technology or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE
EX1: Significant* and recent** experience in performing quality assurance on software systems.
EX2: Experience providing recommendations to management.
*Significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of the experience associated with having consistently performed a broad range of various related activities acquired over a period of approximately two (2) years.
** Recent experience is defined as within the last five (5) years.
ASSET EXPERIENCE
AEX1: Experience in working with an enterprise-level integrated security system.
AEX2: Experience in developing and delivering training programs to varied end-users.
AEX3: Experience in software system testing and production environments.
AEX4: Experience in configuring software systems based on operational requirements.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
