When you apply to this selection process, you are not applying for a specific job, but to an inventory to fill upcoming employment opportunities at the PM-01 group and level within Innovation, Sciences and Economic Development Canada. Applicants who apply to an inventory process may be referred for one or more opportunities if they meet the needs of the position identified for staffing. Management can decide to access applications at any point so please ensure you submit your application as soon as possible. We are located at the CD Howe Building, situated at 235 Queen Street, an office complex in downtown Ottawa, close to Parliament Hill, the Rideau Canal and the Rideau Shopping Centre. Also, we are situated in 1155 Metcalfe Street, an office complex in downtown Montreal. Both locations offers close access to restaurants, fitness facilities, walking/running paths and parks. We are conveniently located close to major bus routes so it is easy to commute from all points across the National Capital Region or Montreal.
This inventory will be used to establish a partially or fully qualified pool of candidates within Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada which may be used to staff positions at the PM-01 level or equivalent with various linguistic profiles, various security profiles, various tenures, using various staffing actions.

EDUCATION :
-Secondary school diploma or a satisfactory score on the PSC test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
EXPERIENCES :
-Experience in delivering services or programs to the general public involving obtaining and providing information requiring explanation or clarification.
-Experience in using technology (e. g. Microsoft Office suite, MS Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel).

On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.
As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring. Should you reach the point in the selection process where it is necessary to verify terms and conditions of employment then the hiring manager or a human resources representative will contact you in order to complete an attestation.

Preference will be given to veterans first and then to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
