Depending on the team you’ll work with, your tasks will include:
• Providing advice, guidance, and services to managers and human resources advisors in the Government of Canada on national recruitment programs and initiatives.
• Developing and/or implementing strategies for the recruitment of employment equity groups.
• Organizing and attending recruitment events, such as career fairs and information sessions, for Government of Canada clients, the public, community associations, and educational institutions.
• Participating in the organization and delivery of activities and assessments for the national recruitment programs.
• Evaluating the programs and services to identify areas for continuous improvement.
• Engaging and collaborating with Indigenous organizations
We’re a small team of recruitment experts working across Canada with a big mandate. We develop, deliver, and promote the Public Service Commission’s national recruitment programs which help the Government of Canada meet its recruitment priorities.

While we’re currently working from home, our positions are normally in one of our regional offices located in Halifax, Montréal, Toronto, Gatineau, or Vancouver. We offer:

We’re hiring permanent employees at the PE-02 level in all of our regional offices, including one position specifically with our Aboriginal Centre of Expertise team which can be located in any one of our regional offices.
A telework arrangement could be considered from anywhere in Canada however you might be required to report back to one of the PSC offices on an ad hoc basis and some positions will be required to report to a specific PSC office. Should the telework agreement come to an end, you will be required to report to and work onsite from one of the PSC's offices.
If hired, you will be part of our professional development program with the opportunity to advance to the PE-03 level ($80,336- $89,295).
This process could be used to staff similar positions, with various tenures, linguistic requirements/profiles and/or security requirements within the PSC.

EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in human resources management, labour or industrial relations, psychology, public or business administration, organizational development, education sciences, social sciences, sociology, or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed.
EXPERIENCE:
Approximately 2 years of cumulative experience in:
• Providing strategic advice and guidance to management on human resources issues related to staffing and or recruitment
• Applying applicable legislation, regulations, policies, directives and or guidelines in resolving staffing or recruitment issues
• Conducting research and analysis information from various sources.
• Experience developing and/or delivering presentations to various audiences.
• Experience in coordinating and participating in recruitment events.
• Experience working on projects or initiatives related to diversity and inclusion
• Experience in the development and delivery of strategies or plans related to engagement with Indigenous partners or stakeholders.
Various language requirements
• Bilingual Imperative (CBC/CBC) for positions in Montreal, Gatineau, and Halifax
• Bilingual Imperative (CBC/CBC or BBB/BBB) for positions in Toronto and Vancouver
• Bilingual Imperative (CBC/CBC or BBB/BBB) or English or French Essential for the position within the Aboriginal Centre of Expertise located in Halifax, Montreal, Gatineau, Toronto or Vancouver
