What would you do?
As an IM / IT programmer analyst, you play a key role in the design and development of software solutions. The results of your work help to support the Canadian Space Agency in its mandate to promote the peaceful exploitation and use of space, to advance knowledge of space through science and to make ensuring that Canadians benefit both socially and economically from space science and technology.
The incumbent is responsible for the design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of information systems; he participates in quality assurance activities, produces programming specifications, writes new codes or modifies existing codes and produces technical documents. He will also be part of project teams and will occasionally lead provisional teams or major project components.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION
Completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary program of study in computer science, information technology, information management or other field related to the position to be filled.
Note : at the manager’s discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience may serve as an alternative to the minimum education stated above. Whenever the minimum education is met using this alternative, it is met for the specific position only and must be re-assessed for other positions for which this alternative has been specified by the manager
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE
1. Significant * and recent ** experience in development and maintenance of applications using the .NET Framework solution
2. Significant * and recent ** experience in web application development with Asp.Net MVC version 5 and +
3. Significant * and recent ** development experience with WCF and WebAPI web services
4. Significant * and recent ** development experience with Entity Framework
5. Significant * experience in customer needs analysis in the context of application development.
6. Significant * and recent * experience in writing SQL queries
*Significant experience means the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of related activities for a period of approximately two (2) years.
** Recent experience is defined as experience that has been obtained within approximately the last five (5) years.
