Important messages

We are committed to providing an inclusive and barrier-free work environment, starting with the hiring process. If you need to be accommodated during any phase of the evaluation process, please use the Contact information below to request specialized accommodation. All information received in relation to accommodation will be kept confidential.

Assessment accommodation

You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be placed into the pool, and the asset qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed.

Qualifications may be assessed by a variety of tools and methods including, but not limited to, written tests, interviews, reference checks, etc. Please note that any information provided through this selection process may be considered in the assessment of any of the essential and asset qualifications, including the effective written communication, which may be assessed through candidates’ responses to the screening questions as part of their application.

A pass mark will be established for each qualification. However, achieving the pass mark is not a guarantee of an appointment or that candidates will be put through the next stages of the assessment process. A cut-off score and a top-down approach may be used at any step if there is a sufficient number of candidates to meet immediate and anticipated staffing needs.

In preparing your application, take the time to demonstrate how you meet all of the essential education and experience qualifications as well any of the asset education and experience that you meet. Provide as much detail and as many examples as possible. Be specific about initiatives you have worked on; where (occupational title, organization)? When (from, to)? What was your role? What were the tasks involved, actions taken? Clear and concrete examples are defined as descriptions in which you explain in detail the considerations you had, the actions and steps you undertook as well as the final outcome/results, in order to gain the experience you are describing. Lack of concrete examples and details may result in your application being disqualified and you will not be solicited for incomplete or missing information.
